Our Story
Simply Mithai’s Journey

Simply Mithai is a visionary enterprise that originated from Ambreen’s opulent daydreams while toiling in the finance industry. Her passion for patisserie led her to enroll in the prestigious LeCordon Bleu program in Chicago, where she graduated with distinction. Her foray into creating wedding cakes, custom-tailored to the unique South Asian wedding events with their vibrant colors and elaborate décor, was met with resounding success. Driven by a desire to reinvent traditional mithai,

Mithai has always been a cornerstone of our cultural heritage, used to celebrate joyous occasions. However, it was not commensurate with the evolution of our palates or our westernized culture. It was time to revamp and evolve mithai to continue being a cherished part of our traditions. Thus, Simply Mithai set out to deconstruct and remodel the beloved dessert, stripping away the excessive sugar and adding generous amounts of love. The result is a meticulously handcrafted dessert, using only the freshest ingredients, with paneer made in-house for each order.

After numerous rounds of taste testing and recipe development, the product is finally ready to showcase. The team is confident in their product and believes in presenting the beauty of mithai in its appearance. While the gulab jamun and ladoo remain in the standard appearance, the burfi has undergone a dramatic transformation. Simply Mithai’s burfi is offered in contemporary flavors and presented as a luxurious box of chocolates, each bonbon lovingly hand-painted with burfi as a filling. Apple Pie, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Butter Pecan are among the most popular burfi flavors, a testament to Simply Mithai’s ability to fuse traditional flavors with modern taste.

Absolutely loved the Diwali mithai bon bons we ordered! Gorgeous and high quality. The cherry on top was the customer service. Ambreen was extremely responsive to my many questions, and she went above to make sure I received my order in time. We’ll definitely order from them again.

Quality mithai, and beautiful packaging. Purchased for Father’s Day gifts and they arrived well packaged. The service is impeccable. Can’t wait to see other creations. Will definitely order again! It is created by hand with every one being a unique piece of mini art that seems to be painted by hang.

I love everything they create. Their chocolates are delicious but their flavor is matched only by their beauty. And the flavor combinations always make me smile. You’ll feel bad having to eat it but when you do, like Kirsten Dunst in “Interview with a Vampire,” you’ll say, “I want some more.”
